I’m a big fan of the CWI learning system. I’ve taken many CW courses in the past and came away thinking that I was proficient, but only to find out after a few weeks I was pretty much back where I started. There are not enough superlatives to describe this CWI course. It is a very different course from the traditional and legacy CW courses in the industry. It is actually a learning system; with the coaches demonstrating and showing you new tools to learn and train in CW on your own. Because in the end, that’s how you learn the best. The coaches’ advice and support throughout the course is critical to its success. The collective learning and enthusiasm from your classmates and “code buddies” is infectious and gratifying. I strongly recommend anyone that is really serious about learning and improving their fluency in CW to take this course. While you will use the tools offered in the sessions for life; it is the last course you will need.

I have been a licensed op since June 2019. About 2.5 years later I decided try CW. After a year of frustration of counting dits and dahs and not being able to head copy, I had considered quitting. Being introduced to CWI by a graduate of the first class was my CW turning point. After having muddled along at 10-12 wpm and still counting elements, my CW journey suddenly became a series of successes far beyond what I expected or hoped to achieve. About four weeks into the class I had my first real head copy QSO and I haven’t looked back. I’m still learning and using the tools provided and now have at least four to six 30-60 minute rag chews every week. I have achieved my immediate goals of a fairly comfortable 15-17 wpm, copying only call signs on paper, using this incredible curriculum. Thanks to the wonderful coaches and facilitators, CW has become very rewarding and more importantly fun!

“I almost gave up. Stuck on a plateau for a frustrating stretch of forever, I had very little proficiency and even less confidence or hope that I could be a decent operator. After receiving 10 weeks of coaching and support from this terrific team, I have all the tools I need in order to teach myself. I can help myself make progress, sharpen both my listening and copying skills and most of all, I can have fun. Being able to do head copy was an unexpected bonus. Plateau? What’s a plateau??”

“It’s no longer learning dits and dahs…. It’s allowing yourself to hear and comprehend the sound of the characters subconsciously that will allow you to move forward in your CW skills and goals. You’re learning how to learn CW all over again.”

“Why should anyone take the Comprehensive ICR course? Because if you put in the time and effort, your CW skills WILL improve. This course enabled me to go from 10 to 15 wpm copy speed as well as begin head copying my QSOs. I also, now, have the tools I need to reach any of my CW goals including listening to books in morse code, something which I never dreamed would be possible for me. The icing on the cake? The friendships I formed with facilitators and team members alike as we shared our successes and difficulties and helped one another find solutions. This course is a game changer for the world of CW.”
